Music Ministry

The beginning of June, our church had the opportunity to minister to the elderly through music at Prairie Homestead assisted living center.

These elderly people were very interested and enthusiastic listeners!
They even joined in and sang along with the hymns... it was a very special time.

Ashley joined the Beeson Girls on the fiddle for "Oh, How I Love Jesus".

We all went to a park afterward, and the Dads treated us to ice-cream from Walmart. :-)

Softball Party

One afternoon, some friends invited us, along with some others, over to play softball.

We played some volleyball first... can't have a party without at least a couple games of volleyball. ;-)

WSU/KState Baseball

Last month, Dad and us older ones went to a WSU/K-State baseball game with some friends.  We were able to set up a grill and lawn chairs and make a party out of it.  It was a VERY exciting game with a tied score at the end, adding 2 extra innings!  WSU barely pulled it off last minute, winning by ONE point!  Our family is fans of both teams, but most of us were cheering for WSU to win.

It was Traci Beeson's 19th birthday the day before, so that gave a good reason to celebrate and buy an ice-cream cake at Dairy Queen for dessert!

Ok, so Ryan kept it in a cooler hoping that would keep it cold enough, but I knew it was going to be interesting!  Half way through the game we pulled it out, and it was so soft that we didn't even have to cut it!  It didn't change the taste any though, and it was very yummy and refreshing anyway! ;-)

Catching Up!

I guess we're still playing "catch up" on our posting!  The down side of having digital cameras is that there are 100x the amount of pictures (more if you count every single camera in the house!) to sort through than when we used film (and there was only ONE camera!).... it's so easy to get behind. :-(  The bright side is the fun of going back through them once they finally make it onto the computer.  Those memories are so much better preserved. :-)

Remo is a very sociable horse, and he loves to stick his nose into everything going on!  Trevor has been working on putting up a shed for storing hay, and Remo is always looking over his shoulder. :-) 

Grandma took some of the younger grandkids to the zoo one afternoon.  We've been getting good use out of her grandparent pass and have enjoyed making some special memories with her.

On Memorial Day, we brought flowers out to Grandpa's grave-site.  It was the first time we had seen the tombstone...we think it's perfect.  The verse in the center is John 14:6 - "JESUS SAID, 'I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.' "  (You should be able to click on the pic to make it bigger.)

For Ashley's birthday meal, we had Roast Beef Sandwiches dipped in Onion Soup...yummy. :-P

I loved this reaction when Ashley opened one of her gifts...I guess she REALLY likes Nerds! ;-0

A beautiful reminder of God's promise.
