Spring Randoms

Here's some random pictures from the last couple of months to make up for our lack of posting. ;-)

Burning the dam and pasture

John all ready to help

Repainting our main bathroom
We'll show you the finished product once we finish the decorating. ;-)

Trevor helped a friend pull this hive of wild honey bees out of a home. He was able to bring them home and start a new hive. :-)

John helping Kara make pizza - he loves to "help" in the kitchen.

John getting a ride on Remo.

Emily & John hangin' out at the shop where the guys were working.

Everyone crowded around the computer one evening to talk with Justin & Braxton live over the internet.

Braxton wasn't so sure about all of us at first, but warmed up as we talked and played with him. Our "play" was a little game of showing him an animal and him telling us what it was and making the sound - it was so cute. :-)

Trevor giving horse rides to some cousins that were in town for Easter
Notice the pretty sky in the background - the sun was just setting.

Bethany loves to ride him too :-)

The following two posts are to make up for not getting them up on the actual date. We had three special events to celebrate all in one day, and getting ready for Easter kind of took priority - though we definitely did not forget about them!

John's Funny Saying

Kara came home Friday afternoon with 2 weeks of groceries and as soon as everyone got them unloaded John was ready to help put them away; a normal occurrence for him :-) As he was waiting for Kara to take a heavier item from him he abruptly said, "Hurry Kara, you're wasting my muscles!"

Big Brother!

Justin said he was very excited about the "beebee".  :-)

So precious!

They look so happy :-)

Crafting Day!

A couple of Sunday's ago, our church enjoyed an afternoon of crafting together. Some worked on leather while others (the gals) worked on scrap-booking/card-making.

Angie B. showing us how the cricut machine worked. Thank you Beeson's and Keintz's for sharing your machines.

Kyle B. helping Cathie B. and John stamp.

Those who didn't have crafts to work on played cards.

Some of the kids enjoyed making leather bookmarks. A big thank you to Miah and Jesse B. for bringing their tools and leather.

Once most everyone was done with their project it was time to hit the park.
Getting a ride in a friend's Model A

John bouncing a basketball while Miah B. looks on

One of the family's brought their four-wheeler and trailer for rides; it worked out great for transportation to and from the park.

Some of the kids playing four square

A friend and I (Bethany) had fun taking pictures of the guys playing basketball.

Of course, Josiah has no shoes on!!

Playing 'human dutch blitz'.

Randoms

We've been very quiet lately here on the blog, but life has NOT been the least bit quiet!  With spring finally here, there's been a lot of projects going on; hopefully we'll get pictures of those up soon.  In the meantime, here a few random pics from the past month (or two months).

John loves to stamp on leather; here he is stamping on some scraps that a friend gave him. :-)

Trevor, Matthew and Mark moving some alfalfa hay to the tack shed.
"Hey Trevor, I'm having a hard time seeing around you!"

John looking at his reflection; then again maybe he's deciding whether he wants to step into it!

Matthew and Trevor practicing with their bows

Taking Remo to the creek.

"B-I-B-L-E"
This is just one of the many songs that John loves to sing.

Laura sent us this picture of Braxton wearing a shirt that Mom/Grandma bought him.
"This is what a cute kid looks like!"
