Creation Museum - part 2

I know we've been rather silent here of late!  That does not mean our life has been boring though!  "Busy" seems to be the normal now - not just an occasional excuse for lack of posting.  Bethany and I (Kara) will try to get you all (those who haven't given up on us yet) updated a little on at least our highlights of the past few months.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, so here is the promised post.  I (Bethany) am not posting very many pictures of the museum because you will just have to see it for yourself. You can double click on the pictures for a larger view.
Click here to see Part 1 to this post.
We met up with Justin, Laura & the boys in KC so we could travel together and help entertain the boys on the long journey there and back. Actually, I think the entertainment went both ways. ;-)
Stopping for lunch and some exercise.
The house (or "mansion" as we called it) worked out great.  There was plenty of room to run around, and we were far enough away from the neighbors that we didn't have to worry about our noisy crowd. :-)
John got sick on the way up, so he and Mom stayed back our first day at the museum. Thankfully, John felt better the next day and they were able to join us at the museum.
 At the Buddy Davis concert.
Most of the cousins went to this snake workshop! It was really cool. I finally got to hold a big python!!
Feeding the goats in their petting zoo.
 It was beautiful weather on Sunday morning, so we all gathered outside for a time of worship and sharing together.
Enjoying the nephews!
We passed the St. Louis Arch on the way there and back, and this cross (some kind of memorial) we saw on the way there. We ran into a lot of construction work on our way up, so we took a different route home.
The whole group.
We all really enjoyed the museum, and I would encourage all of you out there not to miss an opportunity to go.  It's a long way from KS, but it was well worth the drive.  We hope to visit them again in the near future.  If any of you decide to go, we have several lifetime guest passes that we want to share... so please let us know!
Randoms
I know it's been very quite around here. You guys are probably wondering where the rest of the Creation Museum post is. I'll try and get that up in the next couple of days. (no promises but I'll try, I just upgraded my camera so...) ;-) In the meantime, here are some random pictures from the past few months.
Some of us kids got on the roof to watch one of our neighbor fireworks show. This neighbor is in noway short of money and once in awhile he has a Big fireworks show. It's especially fun on the 4th of July!!!
Dad & Mom along with some friends got to go down to Texas to Voddie Baucham's church. The first pic. is of Dad getting a work phone call so the passenger took over the driving for a few minutes. The second pic. is a huge glass building that they passed. Not sure what it is, but it sure looks cool.
Kara playing with friends at a wedding.
Fun with friends. The bottom pic. is of Trevor & Ryan jumping, flipping over the side of a big silage pile. That was a lot of fun! It was pitch black so you had no way of knowing when you were going to land! (by the way, this is Bethany)
John had a lot of fun with this caterpillar that some friends gave us to hatch. We were really fortunate to be able to watch it go into what they call a chrysalis stage. It took around 30 sec.!! Matthew happened to be watching them when it started. 2 to 3 weeks later we got to watch it hatch into a pretty black swallowtail butterfly.
John got to make play dough (with Kara's help) for school.
We don't have an office so guess what we use instead? Yep, the dining room table. John is sitting in the middle doing his paper work. ;-)
Father son campout.
We were able to have the Wissmann Family come and do a concert at our church one Sunday. Our church was very encourage by their music and Mr. Wissmann's message on "setting your affections on things above". After the church service we had a fellowship meal where we were able to get to know them better. If you get the chance to see them don't miss it. You won't be sorry.
Some of our musicians enjoyed a little jam session together.
