On July 4th, our church had our worship service and independence celebration on the Busenitz farm.
Susanna K. (not in the picture), Bethany, I (Kara), & Traci B. played instruments for our morning worship service.
Despite the rain, we all had a great time... at least we weren't baking in the heat!
Most of us enjoyed several "wet" games of volleyball.
Matthew in great form. :-)
Some of the younger ones, who weren't playing ball, enjoyed the hay-bales.
I guess Micah K. didn't think Josiah was getting wet enough!
There was a long enough break in the rain that we were able to do a treasure hunt that Mrs. Busenitz had put together. The Hobbs & Stange families had joined our party in time to participate.
Enjoying some refreshment in the garage, while the clues and treasure were being hidden.
Susanna H., John, & Bethany waiting for some of their teammates to return with their next clue.
The "Rough Riders" searching for their next clue
We had to go online for one of our clues.
The "Yankee Doodle Dandies"
The "Green Mountain Boys"

We had some mighty big appetites by dinner-time ;-)
Enjoying some foosball
The young ladies enjoyed some fellowship inside while the guys were outside blowing things up (imagine that ;-).
Several of us enjoyed rides in Mr. Busenitz's Model A car.
John, Kara, & Leah K.
